BANGOR, Maine — The Husson College girls’s lacrosse dropped its season opener 19-1 to Saint Joseph’s Faculty of Maine on Saturday at Boucher Area.
Saint Joseph’s (3-0) jumped out to an early 8-0 lead within the first quarter and tacked on six extra objectives within the second quarter to take a commanding 14-0 lead on the halftime break.
The Monks added three extra third quarter scores to extend their deficit to 17-0 earlier than junior Sophia Gomez broke Husson’s (0-1) scoring drought with an unassisted purpose.
St. Joe’s added yet one more purpose within the third and their closing rating within the fourth to choose up the 19-1 victory.
Junior Devyn Veits led the Eagles with 4 floor balls whereas freshman Emily Godfrey collected three scoops. Sophomore Abigail Booth recorded two brought on turnovers and freshman Emma Begin completed with six saves web.
