Leon Edwards validated his welterweight title reign within the UFC 286 predominant occasion when he defeated Kamaru Usman to shut out their trilogy.
Edwards (21-3 MMA, 13-2 UFC) earned a majority decision win over Usman (20-3 MMA, 15-2 UFC) in Saturday’s rubber match at The O2 in London, and now he can transfer on to new enterprise at 170 kilos.
It seems Edwards’ subsequent combat is already within the works. UFC president Dana White was adamant post-fight that Colby Covington is in line for the next shot.
