CHICAGO – The College of Chicago Girls’s Athletic Affiliation introduced its staff and departmental awards for the 2021-22 tutorial 12 months. The 118th-annual WAA awards celebration was held at Worldwide Home.

Mary Jean Mulvaney Scholar-Athlete Award – Anna Kenig-Ziesler (Soccer / Monitor & Subject)
- Introduced to the senior blanket winner with the best junior and senior grade level common. This award was established to honor Mary Jean Mulvaney, former Chairman of the Division of Bodily Training and Athletics and a nationwide chief within the growth of girls’s athletics. Miss Mulvaney, who retired in 1989, was at all times happy with the educational and athletic dedication of our student-athletes.
Edith Ballwebber Awards
- Introduced by the Graduate Girls’s Athletic Affiliation to a member of every class for his or her whole contribution to the athletic program. The award standards for choice are whole contribution to the athletic program as outlined by athletic efficiency, staff management, initiative, enchancment and contributions to the WAA. Edith Ballwebber directed ladies’s athletics at Chicago from 1937 to 1967. Underneath her path, Play Days continued to realize in reputation till the onset of girls’s intercollegiate play.
