Rochester, N.Y. – College of Chicago’s ladies’s volleyball defeated Carnegie Mellon and fell to No. 4 Washington College (Mo.) to conclude its day on the College Athletic Affiliation (UAA) Spherical Robin.
The Maroons completed the UAA Spherical Robin slate with a 5-2 file and presently sit 14-10 total.
WashU
UChicago fell in straight units to WashU by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-22, respectively. Cami Cox posted 9 kills at a blistering .471 clip to steer the offensive effort. Natalie Schildt added six kills and three digs.
Julia Craig led the defensive effort with 10 digs. The Maroons have been outpaced by a high-powered Bears assault which hit .298 total and had 15 or extra kills in all three units.
Carnegie Mellon
In UChicago’s remaining common season UAA contest, the Maroons garnered a four-set victory over Carnegie Mellon by scores of 25-18, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-23, respectively. Schildt led the assault with 13 kills and Maggie McInerney posted 12. Ellie Alden had a stadnout efficiency within the center with eight kills and just one error, hitting .368.
Maya Patel was glorious in facilitating the offense which had 51 kills, dispensing 45 assists and including 13 digs. Craig led with 23 digs and added two assists.
UChicago may have 4 matches to tune up for the UAA Championships, starting with a date with Millikin at dwelling on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
