Unbeaten Japanese feather prospect Kota Kaneko (4-0, 3 KOs), 125, displayed a superb kind and impressively halted China’s Fan Cai (5-5-1, 3 KOs), 125.25, at 1:06 of the sixth spherical in a scheduled eight on Saturday in Tokyo, Japan. Kaneko, whose beginner mark was 56-13, caught the taller Chinese language with a smashing left hook, dropping him twice in spherical two with Cai having a slim escape saved by the bell. Cai, a sturdy southpaw puncher, was in command within the third, however Kaneko, 25, took again the initiative and harm him with regular and correct lefts in rounds 4 and 5. The sixth noticed Kota furiously swam over him to immediate the referee’s well-timed stoppage. Kaneko of Teiken gymnasium, who can punch, regarded promising.
