Reilly Opelka will not be launching his US Open Sequence in Atlanta.
The highest-seeded Opelka withdrew from the Atlanta Open immediately on account of harm. Compatriot Steve Johnson will exchange Opelka within the draw and face Belarusian Ilya Ivashka in tonight’s 7 p.m. match.

“Hey Atlanta followers, I am sorry I’ve to withdraw,” Opelka stated in a video assertion. “Sadly, it is a part of the sport. It is a grueling season we received. That is considered one of my favourite weeks of the 12 months. That is the place I made my breakthrough run in 2016.
“It seems like house to me. It is a bummer to drag out of your favourite event. So hopefully, I will be again on court docket quickly on this summer time swing. And I am unable to wait to return again subsequent 12 months.”
