Sean O’Malley has had a ‘nice’ UFC 276 coaching camp
Rising bantamweight star Sean O’Malley (15-1) will face his highest ranked opponent when he steps within the octagon towards Pedro Munhoz (19-7, 1 NC) at UFC 276 on July 2.
O’Malley entered his final battle towards Raulian Paiva in December with lingering damage that prevented him from having the coaching camp that he wished heading into the battle. This time round, that isn’t the case.
“I sparred the final laborious sparring rounds. Three yesterday. I really feel good. No accidents. Sparring is completed. I couldn’t say that final battle camp,” O’Malley mentioned on the TimboSugarShow on Monday.
“It’s been an amazing camp. It’s been an amazing f**king camp. One laborious week left of coaching after which we go away for battle week.”
O’Malley is ranked No. 13 within the bantamweight division. Munhoz is ranked No. 10. A win over Munhoz would transfer O’Malley into the High 10 rankings and nearby of contender standing.
