The NBA is ready to analyze an incident involving Joel Embiid shoving Marcus Hayes of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the league introduced on Saturday evening.
“We’re conscious of reviews of an incident within the Sixers locker room this night and are commencing an investigation,” stated an NBA spokesperson in a press release.
Embiid took challenge with a column wherein Hayes referenced Embiid’s son and late brother.

Hayes then reportedly provided an apology to Embiid, which Embiid rejected.

The remark appeared to set off Embiid, who then raised his voice and pushed Hayes on the shoulder.
