Basketball insider Jeff Goodman talked to an NBA GM over the weekend and took in some attention-grabbing chatter about Gonzaga large man Chet Holmgren’s draft standing. Goodman mentioned the nameless GM informed him that he would take Purdue’s Jaden Ivey over Holmgren within the high three resulting from issues relating to his physique translating to NBA stage energy. Auburn’s Jabari Smith, Duke’s Paolo Banchero, and Chet have been thought of locks by most consultants to go within the high three all season. However Ivey’s nice play and Holmgren’s unorthodox physique construction are beginning to shake issues up as we get nearer to the draft.
