CHICAGO – The No. 13-ranked College of Chicago ladies’s basketball group gained its ninth-straight dwelling sport with Sunday’s 80-56 victory over Brandeis College.
The No. 13-ranked Maroons improved to 13-1 total and 2-1 within the College Athletic Affiliation (UAA). The Judges fell to 5-9 on the season (0-3 UAA).
A back-and-forth first quarter noticed Brandeis take its last lead of the afternoon at 14-13. As soon as Marissa Powe completed an and-one layup to make it 16-14, the Maroons would maintain the benefit for the ultimate 31 minutes.

UChicago led by 16 at the beginning of the fourth quarter and scored 18 factors within the last 4 minutes to emerge with an 80-56 triumph.
Hynes rolled up a game-high 25 factors to go together with six rebounds and 4 assists. North compiled 12 factors and 6 rebounds. Alfaro got here off the bench to contribute 9 factors, seven rebounds and 5 assists. Powe tallied 9 factors, six rebounds and 4 steals. Mallory Brodnik added eight factors and eight rebounds.
The Maroons shot 40.6 p.c from the sphere, 38.5 p.c on three-pointers (10-26) and 90.0 p.c on free throws (18-20). The Judges had been held to 35.2 p.c on subject objectives, 17.4 p.c on threes (4-23) and 58.3 p.c from the charity stripe (14-24). UChicago dominated the boards 47-32.
