GENEVA, Ohio – The College of Chicago observe & area groups kicked off day one of many NCAA Division III Outside Observe & Subject Championships with 12 athletes in motion on Thursday.

Within the ladies’s 4×400-meter relay prelims, the UChicago quartet of Margaret Fitzpatrick (Sr.), Isabel Layne (Jr.), Elisabeth Camic (Fr.) and Loren Brown (Fr.) mixed for a time of three:55.21 which positioned them fifteenth total.
The ladies’s 10,000-meter finals befell later within the night. Junior Frances Schaeffler posted a time of 37:15.70 to complete fifteenth.
The lads’s 10,000 meters adopted instantly after. Senior Henry Myers concluded the race in sixteenth place (31:42.83).
Sophomore Molly Laumakis took half within the ladies’s discus finals. Her high throw of 40.00 meters secured sixteenth place total.
