JJ Redick on the problem of the Lakers job and skipping the teaching line: “In regards to skipping the line… I think there’s a little bit of a misconception around the idea of someone deserving something or someone not deserving something. In the end, it is a company’s cost to discover a coach that’s the proper match for that workforce and group with no matter talent units they might have. There hasn’t been a second that I haven’t felt an excessive stage of gratitude, and sure, I really feel fortunate. I really feel fortunate I bought this chance, however I do know I deserve this chance as effectively. It’s not as a result of I spent seven years as an assistant coach—it’s as a result of I’ve labored my ass off on this craft of basketball for the final 32 years.”
