A Seattle Mariners fan whose elated response to briefly making contact with Ichiro Suzuki throughout a 2010 sport was reunited with the Japanese baseball legend on Saturday.
Iris Skinner, a.ok.a. “Ichiro Woman,” was requested to throw out the opening pitch for Seattle’s sport towards the Cleveland Guardians in honor of Suzuki getting into the Mariners Corridor of Fame. As she walked out to the mound Saturday, Skinner was stunned with the information that Suzuki himself could be the one behind residence plate for her pitch.
Unsurprisingly, Skinner reacted with the identical sort of enthusiasm that made her a viral star within the first place.
