Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has responded to senior journalist Rajat Sharma’s feedback about his spat with Virat Kohli throughout an IPL match between Lucknow Tremendous Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Sharma referred to Gambhir as ‘egoistic and smug’ and mentioned that his behaviour was not acceptable as a former participant or MP.
“After profitable elections and changing into the member of Parliament, Gautam Gambhir’s ego has elevated. His jealousy in the direction of Virat Kohli’s fame might be seen clearly. Virat Kohli is somebody who all the time stays aggressive and doesn’t tolerate any nonsense and therefore, he gave a befitting reply to Gautam Gambhir. However general, Gambhir’s behaviour was towards sportsmanship and it doesn’t swimsuit a former participant or a member of Parliament. Such incidents spoil the spirit of cricket and therefore, this shouldn’t have occurred,” Sharma mentioned on India TV Information.
In response, Gambhir has accused Sharma of promoting PR within the title of reports and criticized him for resigning from the submit of DDCA President within the title of “stress.”
On Wednesday, Gambhir took to Twitter and wrote: “Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing “stress” appears over wanting to promote paid PR as concern for cricket! यही कलयुग़ है जहां ‘भगोड़े’ अपनी ‘अदालत’ चलाते हैं।”

Following the LSG vs RCB match, a heated argument took place between Gambhir and Kohli, whereas different gamers tried to separate them.
This incident isn’t the primary time that Gambhir and Kohli have had a public altercation. After an IPL match in 2019, Kohli famously known as Gambhir “mentally unstable” after the latter criticized his captaincy expertise.
