Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive finish Steve White died on the age of 48.
A number of of White’s former teammates paid tribute to him on social media Tuesday evening. The Bucs confirmed in an announcement on Wednesday that White died after a battle with most cancers.
White, a sixth-round pick of Tennessee in 1996, introduced again in April that he had been battling persistent lymphocytic leukemia for eight years. He mentioned on the time that he wanted a bone marrow transplant.

White spent seven seasons within the NFL, the majority of which got here in Tampa Bay from 1996-2001. He had 119 profession tackles and 11.5 sacks. The spotlight of his profession got here in a 1999 NFC divisional spherical playoff win over Washington, when White had two sacks and a pressured fumble to go together with seven tackles.
