Sloane Stephens is a long-time Rafa Nadal fan.

Now, Stephens has Nadal’s former coach in her nook.
The 29-year-old Stephens introduced she’s employed Francisco Roig as her new coach.
“Completely happy to have Francis Roig be a part of my group as my new coach!” Stephens captioned a photograph of the pair on Instagram. “This is to a profitable journey collectively, let’s get to work ✨s to a profitable journey collectively, let’s get to work.”
Roig, who sat in Stephens’ help field throughout some 2022 occasions, formally departed Nadal’s group final week to focus solely on Stephens.
The 2017 US Open champion gained her seventh profession title in Guadalajara final February. It was Stephens’ first match title in 4 years.
At the moment ranked No. 37, Stephens labored with Kamau Murray, who coached her to the US Open crown, Thomas Högstedt and Nick Saviano beforehand.
