The WNBA playoffs are right here after a historic regular-season filled with record-breaking performances and retirement excursions for a few League legends. The playoff race got here right down to the ultimate day of the season because the Liberty and Mercury clinched the ultimate two postseason berths.

The Las Vegas Aces had been in a position to maintain on to the No. 1 total seed and home-court benefit after beating the Storm, 109-100 on Sunday. They’ll tackle the Phoenix Mercury within the first spherical. The defending champion Chicago Sky is the No. 2 seed and can face the Liberty to open the playoffs on Wednesday.
Eight groups superior to the primary spherical, and for the primary since 2015, every sequence shall be performed at a best-of-three sequence to find out the semifinalists. For the final six seasons, the highest two seeds mechanically obtained byes into the second and second spherical and single-elimination video games decided the primary two rounds of the postseason.
