COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Husson College baseball group has superior to the North Atlantic Conference championship sport after a 7-4 victory over the host of SUNY Cobleskill on Monday afternoon at Preventing Tiger Park.
It took the Eagles (23-15) three batters earlier than taking the lead as junior Joshua Scott scored due to an RBI single from sophomore Jackson Curtis. The Preventing Tigers (21-19) tied the sport within the third to make it a 1-1 sport after three.
Within the fourth, sophomore Austin Snow with a blooper to proper area to carry house two and make it 3-1 Husson. SUNY Cobleskill would make it a one-run sport once more however three runs within the sixth inning broke the sport open because the Eagles gained, 7-4.
Sophomore Harrison Lendrum began the competition on the mound for the Eagles as he went five-plus innings and recorded a strikeout an inning. Senior Jake Gregoire and sophomore Ryan Robb took over in aid to shut out the victory for the inexperienced and gold.
It is off to championship Tuesday for the group as they’ll tackle the winner of SUNY Cobleskill vs. Thomas Faculty tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. The Eagles simply want one win tomorrow whereas the winner of the Tigers and Terriers might want to beat the Eagles twice to assert the crown.
