Former WBA tremendous middleweight belt-holder Callum Smith will return to the ring on November 30 in Birmingham, England, it was introduced as we speak (November 17).
Now a lightweight heavyweight, Smith, 29-2 (21), final boxed again in January, when he was stopped inside seven rounds by Russia’s Artur Beterbiev in a WBC, IBF and WBO title battle. Previous to that he had crushed Mathieu Bauderlique and Gilbert Castillo Rivera in 4 rounds and two rounds respectively.
His final battle at tremendous middleweight was a 12-round resolution loss by the hands of Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in December 2020.
This subsequent battle, in the meantime, Smith’s thirty second as a professional, will happen at Resorts World Area in Birmingham on a present topped by the flyweight battle between Sunny Edwaards and Galal Yafai. No opponent for Smith was named within the announcement.
