No fewer than eight Staff Eire boxers will vie for medal up-grades on the European Under-22 Championships on Thursday.
Eire gained 5 of seven quarter-finals in Sofia on a busy Wednesday to extend the staff’s medal complete to eight.
Martin McDonagh, Bobbi Flood, Patsy Joyce, Clepson dos Santos, Patsy Joyce, and Louis Rooney all had their hand raised and joined Lisa O’Rourke, Robyn Kelly and Carleigh Irving on the rostrum.
All eight will look to commerce in bronze for silver as the competition semi-finals on Thursday.
Oakleaf’s Irving is the primary between the ropes, opening the motion in Ring A’s Afternoon Session. The Derry 48kg operator containers for a spot within the remaining in opposition to Lilla Szeleczk of Hungary.
